In 2013 we began the natural cultivation of the chestnut pumpkin, one of our country's most healing food sources, using heirloom seeds gathered from all seven regions of Turkey and goat manure, in the village of Karacalar in Balıkesir. We offered the chestnut pumpkins we harvested to our customers. We took the seeds of the pumpkins whose flavour delighted them and propagated them. We sow these seeds every April and harvest them in October and November.
From the chestnut pumpkins we harvest we have created desserts, soup, börek, jam, cake and more, reaching a menu of exactly 38 items. On this road we set out on for the love of pumpkin, we received our registration certificate as Uzm Kabakçı in September 2025. As the Uzm family, we hope to bring new flavours to all our customers who love pumpkin.
