We set out in 2013 with the chestnut pumpkin, one of our country's most healing food sources. From heirloom seed to field, and from field to your table, we do every step by hand.
With heirloom seeds gathered from all seven regions of Turkey, we began to follow the trail of the chestnut pumpkin, one of our country's most healing food sources.
We began growing these seeds by natural methods in the village of Karacalar in Balıkesir, using goat manure. We offered the chestnut pumpkins we harvested to our customers.
We took the seeds of the pumpkins whose flavour delighted people and propagated them. We sow these seeds every April and harvest them in October and November.
From the chestnut pumpkins we harvest we have created desserts, soup, börek, jam, cake and more — reaching a menu of exactly 38 items.
On this road we set out on for the love of pumpkin, we received our registration certificate as Uzm Kabakçı in September 2025.
We propagate the heirloom seeds we gathered from seven regions in our own field every year, and buy no seed from outside.
Instead of chemical fertiliser we use goat manure, leaving the soil and the taste of the pumpkin exactly as they are.
From desserts to börek, we prepare every product by hand in our own kitchen, without additives.
"As the Uzm family, we hope to bring new flavours to all our customers who love pumpkin."
